Richard Boro (‘RB’) Ndung’u
Richard, or ‘RB’ to his friends, is a Board Member, KRA, Financial Advisor and Consultant, and a certified Executive Leadership Coach.
Previously, RB was the Regional Head of Tax & Corporate Services in KPMG East Africa for 18 years and between 2004-8 served as their first Kenyan Chief Executive Officer & Senior Partner.
In this role, RB was a Founder & Co-Chairman of the Top 100 Mid-Sized Companies Awards – a much lauded joint initiative of The Business Daily and KPMG. Their survey identified and celebrated Kenya’s fastest growing mid-sized companies, and showcased business excellence by highlighting the country’s most promising entrepreneurs.
RB is a 1987 graduate of the Faculty of Commerce of the University of Nairobi. In 2009 he successfully completed the Directors’ training hosted by the Centre for Corporate Governance (CCG) in Kenya, and in 2011, he attended the IESE Business School – University of Navarra Pan-African Advanced Management Programme (AMP), hosted in association with the Strathmore Business School in Nairobi, the Lagos Business School in Nigeria, and the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) in South Africa.

He switched gears in 2018, and qualified as a Certified Executive Leadership Coach, following training hosted by Coach Development Institute (CDI) for Africa, following which he joined the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Kenya Charter Chapter as an Associate Member.
Outside work, RB is rekindling his passion and drive for the great game of golf.
